Les Nointers are…

Like the naughty children that we areLes Nointers became the first band to record at Frying Pan studios (MONA), when we broke in, kidnapped legendary Studio Engineer Chris Townend and then plugged our instruments into the REDD.17 made famous by the Beatles and Abbey Road studios.

Recording ten tracks that defy genre, the songs are bursting with melody, grit and raw emotion. It’s a musical conversation recalling the finest moments of Nick Cave, the Pixies, Radiohead, the Beatles, John Lennon, the Stooges and Leonard Cohen. The album, Transylvegas, will be released in 2024.

Paving the way of this exciting release is the ironically titled single, She really likes me, which is more of a curse song than a love song. She Really Likes Me builds from its catchy riff into a desperate chorus where Lucien sounds pained by the unwanted affection displayed by the song’s antagonist.

Les Nointers are Lucien Simon and Cameron Healey from seminal 90s Tasmanian misfit stagger rock outfit DUST. DUST regularly toured the mainland sharing the stage with bands like the Tea Party, Augie March, Roland S Howard and Sidewinder. Lucien and Cameron are joined by Cumbian metal queen Katherine Diaz Robayo (Kattleya, She Walks Through Dusk) on lead guitar, drum slinger reverend Marko Genaris and recent addition ivory king Joseph Richards on keys.
